SABINA JOLIS
About / The practice
Originally from Oakland, California, and currently based in New York, she is a Parsons School of Design graduate working across fashion, textiles, and object-making. With a background in fine art and soft sculpture, her practice explores the relationship between material, form, and craftsmanship as a means of expressing shared experiences and human connection.
During her third year at Parsons she began working with the design team at Oscar de la Renta contributing to textile development, alterations, and embroidery design. Her experience in the atelier, alongside work with other luxury businesses throughout New York City, fostered a deeper appreciation for couture techniques, precision, and the labor behind thoughtful design.
Her interdisciplinary approach brings together traditional craftsmanship and material experimentation, moving fluidly between fashion, textiles, and sculptural objects. Her work has been seen on Kehlani, Taylor Swift, and Lauren Sánchez Bezos among others, reflecting a practice grounded in technical detail, material exploration, and community.
